High Holiday Information

Registration is now closed.  While we are expecting a very large number of people you are still welcome to attend. For security purposes, you will be asked to show photo identification when arriving at the Ethical Society.  We do recommend that you arrive early for services.

We welcome you to join in our High Holiday Services. Membership is not required and in lieu of tickets, a donation for each adult is recommended, although no one will be turned away for financial reasons. However, for security purposes, reservations are REQUIRED for all attendees, members and nonmembers alike. Please click here to register online or call 215-629-1995.

Services will be conducted by Rabbi Julie Greenberg and Cantorial Candidate Jessi Roemer. All services will be held at the Ethical Society Building, 1906 S. Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia.

Please arrive early! Seating is extremely limited. 


  • Tuesday, October 11 - Kol Nidre Service: 7:00 PM 
  • Wednesday, October 12 - Yom Kippur Morning Service: 10:00 AM
Yizkor Service: approximately 1:00 PM
Group Session: The Practice of Chesed (Kindness) in Jewish Tradition 4:00 PM
Mincha/Neilah: 5:00 PM
Break Fast: 6:30 PM


  • Sunday, October 23 - Sukkot Celebration: 2:00 PM at a member's home


  • Monday, October 24 - Simchat Torah Service: 7:30 PM 

      Whether or not you are a member, please fill out the registration form online if you plan on attending any of our High Holiday services. If you are not a member, in lieu of tickets we suggest making a contribution for each adult attending (please visit our Contribution page for a downloadable form).


      Parking permits for limited on-street parking can be printed here and will be available on a first come, first served basis at the at the Ethical Society Building before each service. Please note that on-street parking is extremely limited and fills up quickly.  Please plan to arrive early if you intend to park on the street.

      A limited number of discounted parking coupons are available for:

      Bring your parking ticket to services to be stamped at the Ethical Society desk to receive the discount.
