March at Philadelphia International Airport

This afternoon I marched with thousands at the Philadelphia International Airport in defense of refugees banned by President Trump. I thought of all of you as I marched because so many of our own families were relatively recent refugees or immigrants. The new lives they were able to make in this country became the foundation for our lives.  A shout out to the ACLU lawyers who swarmed airports all over the country to provide legal support. I'm glad that I renewed my membership last month! It was deeply moving to me as a Jew to stand for safe harbor for those in need. With hope and love,
