High Holy Day Information

Thank you for your interest in Congregation Leyv Ha-Ir~Heart of the City's High Holy Day Services 5779 which will be held at the Ethical Society Building, 1906 South Rittenhouse Square, Philadelphia. 

Leading us on the High Holy Days in prayer and song will be Rabbi Julie Greenberg and Cantor Sharon Sigal.

Registration is now closed.  While we are expecting a very large number of people you are still welcome to attend. For security purposes, you will be asked to show photo identification when arriving at the Ethical Society.  We do recommend that you arrive early for services.

  • Yom Kippur Morning Wednesday, September 19, 10:00 AM
    • Approximately 1:30 PM - Yizkor Service
    • 5:00 PM - Community Discussion with Rabbi Julie
    • 6:15 PM - Mincha/Ne'ilah Services
    • 8:00 PM - Break Fast/Refreshments At the close of Yom Kippur after the final blast of the shofar, join your Congregation Leyv Ha-Ir friends in the back of the Auditorium for a light communal break-the-fast.  Just enough of a nosh to get you home.

Parking Information

Parking permits for limited on-street parking can be printed here and will be available on a first come, first served basis at the at the Ethical Society Building before each service. Please note that on-street parking is extremely limited and fills up quickly.  Please plan to arrive early if you intend to park on the street.
